What this site collects

Muxaril does not run user accounts, a contact form or a newsletter. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to include in an email sent to the address on the Contact page — typically your email address, your name if you give it, and your message — plus what the optional Google Ads tag described below collects if you accept it.

Cookies and the Google Ads tag

The site itself sets no cookies. It stores one entry in your browser's local storage (muxaril_consent) to remember your choice. The only optional technology is the Google Ads tag (ID AW-18324854926), which measures our advertising and may set Google cookies and send your IP address and browser details to Google. It is not loaded until you press Accept. If you press Decline, or do nothing, nothing is requested from Google for it. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer: withdrawing deletes the Google cookies we can reach and reloads the page without the tag. Legal basis: your consent. Google processes this data under its own terms. The passing-place tool on the driving notes page runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Fonts, photos and maps

Three things load from other companies, and each sends them your IP address and browser details. The site's typefaces come from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) every time a page opens. Hotel photos come from the Hotelbeds photo server (photos.hotelbeds.com) when a hotel is shown. The map on a hotel page is loaded from Google Maps only after you press “Load map”.

Server logs

The web server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time, for security and reliability. They are not used to profile visitors and are not shared with advertisers.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to keep a factual record of a correction, for as long as that is reasonably needed. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details, except with our email provider acting on our behalf.

Third-party links

Pages link to external sites — official tourism bodies, distilleries, attractions, hotels and others. They have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Transfers outside the UK

The publisher is in Ukraine and the site is hosted by a standard hosting provider; Google and Hotelbeds operate internationally. Data reaching them through your browser is governed by their own policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you (in practice, only email correspondence), ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email [email protected] and we will act on the request without unreasonable delay.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Any further analytics or advertising tag would be described here first and would load only after your consent.
